#4: swatches & name plates

In preparation for my brochure project,

I chose this photo to create swatches from. I took a picture of these two smoothie bowls at the beach in my hometown. Because of the colors this is a light and happy aesthetic. 

Here is the swatch I created:

I found more challenges doing this outside of class than I expected. Picking out three colors from this photo for the swatch was difficult because every color in the photo is tempting. I chose the pink tone from the smoothie on the right, and two of the colors in the wood. 

As for the name plates....

Creating the name plates was exciting even if I didn't do it exactly right. I enjoyed working with the colors in the swatch and exercising my knowledge with the fonts and typefaces.
