Composition
In this blog I will exemplify five compositions of photography: negative space, layering, texture, lines, and close up shots while using roses as my subjects.
Negative Space
In this shot, I worked with the surrounding leaves to frame this pink rose. The leaves acted as negative space, drawing the eye and attention to the rose. The darkness of the leaves also highlights the rose's vividness.
Layering
These two roses allow the composition of layering. One rose lies in the foreground while the other layers.
Texture
I worked with the anatomy of the petals to show the veins to show the texture.
Lines
In this shot, the stem breaks the negative space adding to the intensity of the rose as well as exemplifying the lines.
Close Up
I captured the intricacy of these petals by choosing a close angle while working with the curves of the petals.
